Restlessness
An uncomfortable feeling of being unable to be still and relaxed, or feeling as though you’re on edge and something is about to, or needs to, happen.
Dizziness/ low blood sugar
Feeling lightheaded, off balance, that your surroundings are spinning (also known as ‘vertigo’), or that you might faint, or need to eat some food.
Temperature control
Internal body temperature changes throughout the menstrual cycle, usually peaking during the 14 days before menstruation.
Fuzzy brain
Difficulty concentrating (aka ‘fuzzy brain’) is a normal occurrence for everyone; the most common causes are tiredness, emotional stress, or dehydration.
Sleep problems
This could be an inability to get to, or stay, asleep for very long ( insomnia), or sleeping too much, especially during the day (hypersomnia).
Sensitivity to light/ sound/ odours
Sometimes ‘triggered’ by foods or drinks, or behaviours e.g. alcohol (especially red wine), caffeine, an empty stomach, too much or too little sleep, or stress.
Vaginal infections
The two most common forms of recurrent vaginal infection are Thrush and Bacterial Vaginosis (BV).
